Lenora Skeen and William S. Freestone – Written by Lenora Skeen Freestone

We were married on October 6, 1920.  We went back to Cache Junction to stay the winter and tend the stock.  We had worked on the ranch before we were married.

We came back to Plain City and Bill rented some ground from Dad and we farmed there.  Blaine and Irene lived in part of the house and we had two rooms.

Margaret was born there, July 6, 1921.  We decided to strike it rich and moved to Marion, Idaho.  Bill and Perrie rented a farm there.  We stayed for three years.  Lyman was born in Idaho, June 27, 1923.  Things got rough and we came back to Plain City and farmed again here.

Gilbert was born in Plain City on May 30, 1925.  He was eight years old and got quick pneumonia and died on October 12, 1933.

William, Jr., was born March 25, 1927 and died the same day.  Helen came along on July 26, 1928.  We decided that was the end of our family.  We bought our present home in 1934 and moved from the field.

Jay was born on December 20, 1936.  We said that for sure that was the last.  Jack came along December 29, 1938 and Howard was born on January 30 1942.

Bill went to work for the Sugar Company in 1934 and worked for 32 years, retiring in 1966.
